Biography
Mr. Lange brings a variety of experiences to Deffenbaugh and Lange. He is a 2000 graduate of St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Studies. He spent many years in the commercial insurance industry managing clients with multi-million dollar accounts. He has been a commercial insurance underwriter, a small business account manager and then an Assistant Vice-President with various companies over the years. Mr. Lange also worked side-by-side with Mr. Deffenbaugh on a variety of tax accounts on a part-time basis before he made the jump to Deffenbaugh and Lange full-time in 2017. His expertise has helped navigate the firm successfully through three acquisitions as they expanded their tax services to additional personal and business clientele. He serves as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, handling business, technical and technological issues of all sizes. He grew up in South Texas and understands the ins and outs of ranches, hunting leases, agriculture exemptions and other issues ranchers routinely face. His passion remains consulting with business owners as they navigate the challenges of being a business owner today.
Mr. Lange volunteers regularly with organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, Trail Life USA, 4-H and has enjoyed coaching various sports teams from elementary to college. He is the proud father of eight children, husband of twenty-three years and granddad to one grandson.
